Biography









Anna Jean Tipton, 75, of Dry Ridge, KY, formerly of Falmouth, passed away on Monday, February 8, 2010, at 9:00 a.m. at the Hospice of St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood, Kentucky. Born in Lee County, Kentucky on October 6, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Joe and Roxie Lutes Chambers.

Anna Jean Chambers married Lemuel Ray Tipton on July 14, 1956. Her husband survives her passing. She was a personal care giver at Sharp’s Personal Care Home for many years until her retirement in 1988.

In addition to her husband, Lemuel Ray Tipton, she is survived by her children: Lemuel Joe Tipton of Dry Ridge, Kentucky , Timothy Ray Tipton of Falmouth, Kentucky, Jean Ann Tipton Powell (Mark) of Walton, Kentucky, and Andrew Duane Tipton (Tami) of Falmouth, Kentucky; 6 grandchildren: Clifford (C.J.) Tipton, Kyle Cummins (Norah), Rachel Powell, Tiffany Tipton, Ashlynn Powell, and Clayton Tipton ; and 5 great grandchildren: Andrew Brison, Tristian Tipton, Alyssa Tipton, Madison Falk, and Cash Cummins; and 4 sisters: Madeline Chambers Childers (Andrew) of Richmond, KY, Ella Mayes of Winchester, Kentucky , Shirley Chambers Clark (Paul) of Richmond, KY, and
Laurie Chambers Williams (Lawrence) of Clay City, KY ; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five of her siblings: Joe “Junior” Chambers (Birdie), Charles Chambers (Betty), Margie Chambers Aldridge (John), Billy Chambers, and Elbert Chambers, and a brother-in-law, Jess Mayes.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 13, 2010, at Woodhead Funeral Home in Falmouth, Kentucky. Interment will be in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Pendleton County. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. on Friday at Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth.
