Virgiline Ritter Moore

Biography

Virgiline Ritter Moore, 95, of Falmouth, KY, passed away suddenly on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at her home. Born on Oct. 1, 1914, she was the oldest daughter of the late William Sr and Edna Hobday Ritter. She married Walter Moore and he preceded her in death on Sept. 19, 1986. She was a former member of the Falmouth City Council for 18 years, serving as mayor pro-tem at one time. She was active with the Pendleton County Senior Citizens and organized many of the trips that they took. She was instrumental in organizing the local AARP chapter, worked for Dr. Scholl’s, and owned and operated a restaurant with her husband for many years. She was a member of the Falmouth United Methodist Church.
