Biography

Chloteen Martin Thompson, 79, of Berry, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, July 07, 2010, at the Harrison Memorial Hospital in Cynthiana. Born in Grayson, Kentucky on January 10, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Bert and Cora Green Martin. On December 28, 1968, she married Arch Thompson, and her dear husband survives her passing. She was a homemaker and a member of the Marcus Baptist Church in Berry.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Walter Martin (Bub); her son-in- law, John McGowan; and her brother-in-law, Charles Marcum.
She is survived by her husband, Arch Thompson; her son, Keith (Lois) DeLotell of Portsmouth, Ohio; her daughter, Connie McGowan of Springfield, Ohio; her step-daughters, Linda (Jerry) McQueen of Marysville, Ohio and Eva (Bill) Thompson of Berry, Kentucky; her brothers, Cova (Sue) Martin of Mt. Sterling, Ohio and Talton (Wilma) Martin of Cantersville, Georgia; her sister, Thelma Marcum of New Carlisle, Ohio; many grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 10, 2010, at the Woodhead Funeral Home in Berry, with Rev. Jeremy Northcutt officiating. The visitation will be from 5-7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 9, 2010, at the Woodhead Funeral Home, 106 Main Street, Berry, Kentucky 41003. Interment will take place in the Pythian Grove Cemetery, Berry.
