Alice Eliza Ingram

Alice Eliza Kendall Ingram, 92, of Berry, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2011, at her home. Born on May 15, 1919 in Berry, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Willie Wayne Miller Kendall. She was a homemaker, a member of the Berry Christian Church, a former member of the Harrison County Homemakers, and a former 4-H Leader. On December 22, 1937, she married Orville Ingram, and her dear husband survives her passing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Lena Sue Ingram on May 1, 1940, her granddaughter, Kathy Shanklin on January 29, 2011, and her sister, Virginia Kendall Hill (of California). In addition to her husband of 73 years, Orville, she is survived by two daughters: Sandra (Parker) Fryman of Burlington, Kentucky and Wayne Ann (Van) Shanklin of Berry, Kentucky; 5 grandchildren: Dwayne Shanklin, Taffie Conner, Penny Davis, Scott Fryman and Troy Fryman; 13 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and a host of extended family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, August 15, 2011, at the Berry Christian Church, 320 Main Street, Berry, Kentucky 41003 with Bro. Randy Wilson officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Fryman, Troy Fryman, Jeff Davis, Dwayne Shanklin, Jason Shanklin, and Justin Shanklin. The visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 14, 2011, at the Woodhead Funeral Home, 106 Main Street, Berry and from 11-12:00 noon on Monday preceding her service at the Berry Christian Church. Interment will take place in the Pythian Grove Cemetery, Berry.
