Charles Emmett Askin

June 13, 1955 - February 2, 2012

Charles Emmett Askin, 56, of Falmouth, passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2012, at the Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Campbell County, Kentucky on June 13, 1955, he was the son of Emmett Askin and the late Celesta Louise Smith Askin. He worked as a clerk at Wells Market in Falmouth and as a handyman. Charles was a U.S. Navy veteran, and he attended the former Pilgrim Holiness Church in Falmouth. In addition to his father, Emmett Askin, he is survived by 2 sisters: Crystal Abercrombie of Falmouth and Cathy (Daryl) Davis of Warsaw; 3 nieces: Melisa, Kimberly, and Laura; and a host of dear friends. A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 6, 2012, at the Riverside Cemetery, Falmouth, with Rev. Wes Shoemaker officiating. The visitation will be from 1-2:00 pm at the Falmouth Wesleyan Church. Interment will take place with full military honors by the Hardin- Browning Post #109.
