March 4, 1969 - April 9, 2015
Phyllis Ann Perry, 46, of Berry, KY, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2015, at St. Joseph HealthCare in Lexington, KY. Born in Harrison County, KY, on March 4, 1969, she was the daughter of the late Franklin and Nellie Mae Hall Giles. For 28 years, she and her husband, Michael Wayne Perry, have journeyed through life together, making the most of each day and loving their children and grandchildren. Phyllis was all about her family. At home, she loved cooking, cleaning, and lightening the burden of daily responsibilities for her husband and children. She volunteered for field trips, attended school assemblies, and stood ready to answer the call anytime her family needed her. Together, she and her family loved camping and fishing at Kincaid Lake State Park. Her green thumb kept them supplied with beautiful wild flowers, which she grew from seed, every spring and summer. She was “Mamaw” to her three grandchildren who were blessings in her life. In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her brother, Frankie Giles, who passed away on her birthday. She is survived by her husband, Michael Wayne Perry; her three children: Allycia Gail Perry, Brittany Lynn Perry, and Michael Franklin Perry, all of Berry; 3 grandchildren: Christian Michael, Gracie Ann, and Abby Gail; 7 siblings: Billy Joe Giles, Mark Richardson, Steve Richardson, Thomas Richardson, Joyce Sparks, Helen Emery, and Diane Andes. The funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at the Woodhead Funeral Home, Berry, with her brother-in-law Bro. Cecil Curtis, who both baptized her and married her and Mike, officiating. The visitation will be from 11-1 pm preceding the service at the funeral home. Interment will take place in the Sunrise Cemetery, Harrison County. Memorials are suggested to Woodhead Funeral Home.
