Richard Phillip Franke Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Richard Phillip Franke, 81, passed away on Wednesday, May 07, 2013, at his home in Falmouth, Kentucky. Formerly, he was a resident of Cincinnati, OH. Born on May 7, 1932, to Carrie Keinath Franke and Carl Franke, Richard graduated from Elder High School. After graduation in 1950, he served in the United States Air Force. After honorary discharge from the Air Force, he worked at General Electric and the IOF Foresters. Predeceased by his loving wife of 37 years, Patricia Demoret Franke, he is survived by his children, Ruth Franke, Ron (Karen) Franke, Carol Franke (Tom) Emery and Mark Franke. He is also survived by his brother, Carl Franke, sisters-in-law, Shirley and Freida Franke and Carol Willitzer; 8 grandchildren: Isabel, Vincent, Brandon, Matt, Cassy, Christina, Andrew, and Catie. He is survived by his present, loving wife of 15 years, Barbara (Klee) Butler Franke, his step-son, Todd Butler; and his step-daughter, Michelle Butler (Mark) Bowley; many cousins and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2013, at St. Teresa of Avila, 1175 Glenway Avenue, Cincinnati, OH. Visitation will be at the church from 10-11:00 a.m. Interment will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Elder High School, the American Cancer Society, or the charity of your choice. Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth, KY, is serving the family.
