Sylvena Jones Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Sylvena Jones, 78, of Falmouth, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at the Grant Manor Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Williamstown. Born in Knox County, KY, on January 30, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Ruby Blanton Brown. A 1954 graduate of Butler High School, she married Lewis Earl Jones on May 26, 1956, and her dear husband preceded her in death on August 13, 2011. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Robert Allen Jones in 1987, She worked at Southern Elementary for12 years as a cook and baker. She is survived by 2 daughters: Vickie (Jackie) Hopkins of Camden, SC and Stephanie (Jerry) Miller of Corinth, KY; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 6 brothers; 1 sister; 2 precious dogs, Snuggles and Kizzie; and a host of extended family and friends. The funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, March 22, 2014, at the Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth, with Bro. Darrell Breeden officiating. The visitation will be from 11-1 pm at the funeral home. Interment will take place in the Riverside Cemetery, Falmouth. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society, 297 Buttermilk Pike, Ft. Mitchell, KY 41017.
