Terri Lee Delaney

October 23, 1963 - July 29, 2020

Terri Lee Delaney, 56, of Covington, KY, passed away on July 29, 2020 at her home. Born on October 23, 1963 in Covington, she was a daughter of the late George Thomas and Patricia Ann Upthegrove Delaney and the late Phyllis Kay Lewis Jones. She earned a B.S. Degree in Nursing from Thomas More University, and she was the former Director of Pricing and Reimbursement with PharMerica. Terri was a bright light in the lives of those who knew her. Her mantra: “Family, Friends, Church, Country” defined her life, and she was passionate about all four. At the biggest celebration and in the loneliest hour, she was there for all she loved. Her influence was not just all she did, but how she did it, finding a reason to laugh and inspire in the tough times and making a lively gathering so much more memorable with her quick wit and “fun-loving” nature. Always ready to travel, she was proud of the fact that she had visited 47 of our 50 states. She is survived by seven siblings: Mark Delaney (Eileen O’Keefe, fiancée), Tina Ruffin, Jeff Delaney (Sandra), Kathy Jones, Tate Upthegrove, Tara Orth (Jerry), and Tammy Schweitzer (Jay); 21 nieces and nephews; 23 great nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sibling, Kim Hellings. A Celebration of Her Life will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Nicholson Christian Church, Independence, KY, with Adam Leigh, Senior Minister, officiating. Friends and family are invited to gather from 11-1 pm preceding the service at her church. Memorials are suggested to the Nicholson Christian Church, Attn: Food Pantry In Memory Of Terri Lee Delaney, 1970 Walton-Nicholson Pike, Independence, KY 41051. Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth, is taking care of the family.
