Virginia Field Cummins, 95, of Falmouth, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 4, 2010, at the River Valley Nursing Home in Butler, Kentucky. Born on December 23, 1914 in Pendleton County, she was a daughter of the late William and Mary Elizabeth Browning Field. On February 13, 1931 she married Wilson Cummins, and her dear husband preceded her in death on October 6, 1997. She was a homemaker and a member of Oakland Christian Church, Pendleton County. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sons: Shelby Leon Cummins, William Leo Cummins, and Kenneth Ray Cummins; and three sisters: Alta Clayton, Louise Field and Jewell Walthers. She is survived by one son, James Allen Cummins of Falmouth; 11 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and 7 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at the Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth, with Bro. Don Mays and Judge Henry Bertram officiating. Special music will be shared by Michael and Tim Cummins. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons: John Cummins, Stephen Cummins, Kyle Cummins, Christopher Cummins, Grant Cummins, William Cummins, Jared Cummins, Brandon Cummins, and Nick Cummins. The visitation will be from 5-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at the funeral home. Interment will take place in the Riverside Cemetery, Falmouth. Memorials are suggested to the Oakland Christian Church, 149 Oakland Church Road, Falmouth, Kentucky 41040.
