Jerry D. Myers

Jerry D. Myers, 74, of Falmouth, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2008, at the Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy, Ohio. Born on September 7, 1933 in Georgetown, Ohio, he was the son of the late Raymond and Gertrude Mitchell Myers. He was an accomplished graphic artist and commercial illustrator. From 1955-1957, he attended the Central Academy Commercial Art School. He worked for Steinhauer Fisher from 1957-1977, after which he started his own graphic art studio, Miller Myers, working until his retirement in 1995. Jerry was a founding member of the Northern Kentucky Saddle Club and a Kentucky Colonel. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Bea Scaggs on May 24, 2002 and his brother-in-law, James C. Scaggs on August 11, 2006. He is survived by his sister, Kathy (James) Dawn of Cold Spring, Kentucky; his nieces: Sally Jo (Ben) Wolfe of Falmouth, Kentucky and Kimberly (Tom) Weber of Ft. Thomas, Kentucky; his nephews: Wade (Kaye) Scaggs and Russell (Linda) Scaggs, both of Falmouth, Kentucky; 8 great nieces and nephews: Jamie Scaggs, Jennifer Landry, Jason Weber, Tommy Weber, Justin Weber, Stefanie Scaggs, Sara Scaggs and Nikki Wolfe; 4 step great nieces and nephews: Michael Espelage, Nicholas Espelage, Erin Espelage, and Erika Spaulding; and 11 great great nieces and nephews: Joey Scaggs, Gage Scaggs, Aidan Weber, Sydney Scaggs, Logan Weber, Kayla Weber, Maxson Weber, Dyllon Espelage, Jason Espelage, Ethan Espelage, and Braden Wolfe; and his best friend and caregiver "Pepper". Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2008, at the Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth, with Rusty Scaggs officiating. The pallbearers will be Ben Wolfe, Tom Weber, Vic Dawn, John Dawn, Jimmy Dawn, and Robby Bertram. The honorary pallbearers will be Jamie Scaggs, Tommy Weber, Jason Weber, and Justin Weber. The visitation will be from 5-9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at the funeral home. Interment will take place in the Riverside Cemetery, Falmouth.
