Mary K. Reynolds Gronotte

Mary K. Reynolds Gronotte, 86, of Covington, KY, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2013, at the Providence Pavilion in Covington. Born in Pendleton County, KY on August 24, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Edward Earl and Mary Frances Schuetz Reynolds. She married Joseph B. Gronotte on Sept. 24, 1958 and her dear husband preceded her in death on August 24, 1986. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her son, Joseph Anthony “Tony” Gronotte on Nov. 3, 1995, and her brother, Edward Joseph Reynolds on Nov. 9, 2003. She graduated from La Salette Academy in 1944. Mary K. earned her realtor’s license and worked for 30 years, selling for Huff Realty in Ft. Mitchell, KY and ASK Realty in Edgewood, KY. Formerly, she worked as the secretary to the president of the former Pogue’s Department Store in Cincinnati. A member of Mother of God Church, where she had been a member of the Choral Club, Mary K. leaves a legacy of living her faith and loving her family and friends. She is survived by two sons: J. Timothy Gronotte (Mary Anne) of Ft. Mitchell, KY and J. Thaddeus Gronotte (Adam Sublett) of Covington, KY; her daughter in-law, Terry (Rick) Granick of Cincinnati, OH ; 5 grandchildren: Joe Gronotte, Holley (Brian ) Hughes, Br. Andrew Gronotte, LC, Br. Christopher Gronotte, LC, and Elizabeth Gronotte; 3 great grandchildren: J.J., Bryce, and Anna Grace Hughes ; 4 sisters: Marge (Paul) Klee of Ft. Mitchell, KY, Betty Coleman and Frances Kelly, both of Taylor Mill, KY, Judy (Dan) Woodhead of Falmouth, KY; sister-in-law, Marilyn Reynolds of Elsmere, KY; and a host of extended family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013, at Mother of God Church, 119 W. Sixth Street, Covington, KY 41011, with Rev. Raymond Hartman officiating. The visitation will be held from 11-12 Noon at her church preceding the mass. Entombment will take place in the mausoleum at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, KY. A reception will follow entombment at Mother of God Church. August 24, 1927 - August 30, 2013
