Rose Mary Ramsey

Rose Mary Clifford Ramsey, 88, of Falmouth, KY, passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2015, at her home. Born in Harrison County, KY, on December 27, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Stella Barnes Clifford. On October 14, 1947, she married Harry C. Ramsey, and her husband of 63 years preceded her in death on June 5, 2011. Rose Mary was a member of the Oakland Christian Church, Pendleton County, where she participated in as many church activities as she could, for as long as she could. She loved being part of the Oakland Joy Bound group, as well as the choir. She lived her faith daily, always going the extra mile for anyone in need. For most of their married life, Rose Mary and Harry lived in Pendleton County, and they farmed their land together. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Diana Monroe on December 12, 2011. . She is survived by six children: Colleen (Danny) Flynn, Allen (Dianna) Ramsey, Curtis (Judy) Ramsey, Keith ( Bonnie) Ramsey, Lesa (Ricky) Figgins, and Tony (Lisa) Ramsey; her son-in-law, David Monroe; 16 grandchildren: Laura (Nick) Simpson, Brian (Karla) Flynn, Ashley (Bob) Turner, Ethan (Amanda) Ramsey, Lyndsey (J.T.) Teegarden, Austin Monroe, Jennifer (Scott) Jones, Douglas (Caitlin) Ramsey, and Matthew (Kelli) Ramsey, Chase Ramsey, Nathan (Meagan) Ramsey, and Cory Ramsey, Zachary and Joshua Figgins, Audrey Ramsey, and Butch Burberry; a step granddaughter, Cassie (James) Gamble; eleven great grandchildren: Blake and Joseph Simpson, Garrett Flynn, Dean and Rae Turner, Madylen Ramsey, Addyson and Jackson Teegarden, Gracie Ramsey, Curtie Wells, and Wylie Jones: four step great grandchildren: Christian, Jacob, Joshua, and Julie Gamble; one sister, Margie Rainey; one brother, Leroy Clifford ; her unadopted daughter, Barbara Browning; and a host of extended family and friends. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 9, 2015, at the Oakland Christian Church, 5161 Milford Road, Falmouth, KY 41040, with Bro. John Byard officiating. The visitations will be from 3-9:00 PM on Sunday, February 8, 2015, at her church, and from 12-2:00 PM on Monday preceding the service at her church. Music will be shared by Holly Trimble, Barbara Browning, and the Joy Bounds, with accompaniment by Patty Drake. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons: Brian Flynn, Ethan Ramsey, Austin Monroe, Douglas Ramsey, Matthew Ramsey, Chase Ramsey, Nathan Ramsey, Cory Ramsey, Zachary Figgins, Joshua Figgins, and Butch Burberry. The honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters: Laura Simpson, Ashley Turner, Lyndsey Teegarden, Jennifer Jones, Audrey Ramsey, and her dear neighbor, Dorothy Skidmore. Interment will take place in the Oakland Cemetery, Pendleton County. Memorials are suggested to the Oakland Christian Church or the Hospice of your choice. Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth, is serving the family.
