Elmo Edward McKinney
August 28, 1921 - December 31, 2011
Elmo loved and served his Lord Jesus and was a testament to that fact by all who come to know him. His greatest yearning was to see all his family and friends come to know Christ Jesus as their Savior. He was an active member of the Neave United Methodist Church where his parents had reared him. Elmo served his country honorably as a veteran of World War II, as US Army FC 459th Engineering Depot Company. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, and the American Legion Post 109. After his discharge Elmo returned to the states and married his sweetheart Audrey King. They eventually purchased a farm in the Neave community and operated a dairy and tobacco farm in Pendleton/Bracken Counties. After working 10 years for Eaton Corporation located in Cynthiana, KY, he retired and was told, “He always gave the company 120%.” Since he was a young man he helped with making sorghum syrup in and around the McKenneysburg area and later in life he raised sorghum cane to make sorghum syrup for the Kentucky Wool Festival. var item = document.getElementById("tukios_iframe"); // Now calculate our height. if (item){ //Looks like we have tukios_iframe.
