Jo Ann Clifford Cooper Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Jo Ann Clifford Cooper, 84, of Lake Charles, LA, formerly of Falmouth, KY, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 27, 2022 at her home. Born on November 11, 1937 in Lexington, KY, she was a daughter of the late Marion F. and Garnett Fields Clifford. Jo Ann worked at the former Dr. Scholl’s Shoe Factory in Falmouth as a piece worker. In 1958, she married Gaylord Antrobus, and they were blessed with two sons: Dale and Darryl. After their divorce, Gaylord preceded her in death. Jo Ann remarried in 1970 to Andrew Cooper and divorced him in 1974. Jo Ann lived most of her life in Pendleton County, and she dearly loved her family and friends. She is survived by one son, Darryl Antrobus (David Newell) of Lake Charles, LA, with whom she lived. With their loving care, Jo Ann was able to find much happiness in her daily life, and she, in turn, provided them with many reasons to smile and laugh. Jo Ann was the last of her immediate family. All of her siblings: Geri Clifford, Betty Koffel, Clay Clifford, Jackie Clifford, and William L. Clifford, in addition to her niece, Gwen Kelly, preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth, with Kevin Barnard officiating. The visitation will be from 1-2 pm on Thursday, preceding her service. Interment will take place in the Sunrise Cemetery, Harrison County.
