Margaret Louise Thompson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Margaret Louise Salyers Thompson, 83, of Berry, KY, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2022 at the St. Elizabeth Hospital Edgewood. She was born in Eubank, KY on July 5, 1938 to the late George Wesley and Agnes Louise Leek Salyers. On May 6, 1961 she would marry H.A. Thompson, and together they would celebrate 60 years of marriage before his passing in January, 2022. Louise was a homemaker and helped on the farm, while enjoying gardening, flowers, and sewing. She was a member of the Marcus Crooked Creek Baptist Church and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by two children: Rhonda (Brent) Moore of Butler, KY and Joel Kelly Thompson of Berry, KY; two grandchildren Caitlin (Jimmy) Courtney and Ethan Moore (Sydney Bradford); two great-grandchildren Rowen Courtney and Sawyer Moore; her sister Nancy (Jerry) Wilcher of Hustonville, KY and a host of extended family and friends. Along with her parents and her husband, H.A., Louise was preceded in death by her son Joel Wesley Thompson and her brother Ralph Leek Salyers. Visitation will take place on Thursday, May 19, 2022 from 2PM-3PM at the Woodhead Funeral Home in Berry, KY. A graveside service for Louise will be held at 3 PM at the Pythian Grove Cemetery in Berry, KY, with Bro. Jim Mitchell officiating. Memorials are suggested to the Marcus Crooked Creek Baptist Church.
