Tommy Colvin
December 29, 1944 - February 1, 2022
Larry Thomas “Tommy” Colvin, 77, of Falmouth, KY, went home to be with the Lord peacefully on February 1, 2022, at his home with family and friends by his side. He was born on December 29, 1944, to the late Charles E. and Margaret McNeese Colvin. He was a 1964 graduate of Pendleton County High School and on February 25, 1967, he would marry his life-long love, Ruby Lee Gillespie Colvin. The two of them would spend nearly 55 years together, creating many memories and enjoying life’s adventures together. Tommy worked for over 42 years at the Levi Straus Company in Florence, KY and thoroughly enjoyed visiting with family and friends, hunting, fishing, and in his younger years riding quads through the beautiful countryside. Tommy and Ruby would experience great heartache, as on May 7, 1988, their only daughter Patricia Lynn Colvin English passed away. She was a beautiful soul, and greatly missed by her parents. Tommy was also preceded in death by his brother Kenzie Colvin, sister Mazella Arnold, and brother Carl Colvin. Along with his wife, Ruby, Tommy is survived by sister-in-law Betty (Jimmy) Auchter of Dry Ridge, KY, brother-in-law Ricky (Betty) Gillespie of Falmouth, KY; a half-sister Vickie Carr, and many extended family and friends. He was one of a kind and will be truly missed by those who knew him. Funeral services for Tommy will be on Saturday, February 5 at 2PM at the Woodhead Funeral Home in Falmouth, with Bro. Evan Meyer officiating. Visitation will be from Noon-2PM preceding the service. Interment will take place at the Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Antioch Mills Christian Church Ladies Aid: 12785 US 27 North, Berry, KY 41003 or to Hospice of Hope 909 Kenton Station Dr., Maysville, KY 41056.
