Tommy Sharp February 12, 1929 - November 19, 2009 Tommy Sharp, 80, of Butler, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2009, at the Hospice of the Bluegrass- Northern Kentucky Care Center in Ft. Thomas, Kentucky. Born in Bracken County on February 12, 1929, he was the son of the late Verner and Bernice Burris Sharp. On July 3, 1948, he married Ruby Thomas and his dear wife survives his passing. He retired from Trauth Dairy in Newport after 20 years of service, and he was a well-known Pendleton County farmer. He was a member of the Pine Grove United Methodist Church, Pendleton County and a member of the Augusta-Foster Masonic Lodge #60. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: David Sharp and Gayle Sharp; and one sister, Ruth Maloney. In addition to his wife of 61 years, Ruby Thomas Sharp, he is survived by one son, Don (Pam) Sharp of Lebanon, Ohio; two daughters: Karen (Doug) Dunaway of Berry, Kentucky and Kathy (Dennis) Schellenberger of Cincinnati, Ohio; 6 grandchildren: Raegan Sharp, Emily Pickett, Amy Miller, Brent Dunaway, Tyler Sharp, and Lauren Sharp; 4 great grandchildren: Aaron Pickett, Kendra Pickett, Brooke Dunaway, and Whitney Dunaway. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 22, 2009, at the Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth with Carol Mains and Jonathan Smith officiating. The pallbearers will be William Sharp, David Maloney, Brent Dunaway, Tyler Sharp, Mike Pickett, and Rich Miller. The visitation will be from 4-8:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will take place in the Peach Grove Cemetery, Pendleton County. Memorials are suggested to the Hospice of the Bluegrass- Northern Kentucky Care Center, 85 Grand Avenue, Ft. Thomas, Kentucky 41075 or the Pine Grove United Methodist Church, 9095 Highway 10 N, Butler, Kentucky 41006. Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.woodheadfuneralhome.com
