Jean Wagner Lach

Jean Lach, 74, of Falmouth, passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2007, at the St. Luke Hospital East in Ft. Thomas, Kentucky. Born on February 12, 1933 in Pendleton County, she was a daughter of the late John and Effie Blackburn Wagner. She was a Falmouth High School graduate in the Class of 1951. She married George W. Lach on June 8, 1952, and her husband survives her passing. Formerly she worked at Hammer Strength in Falmouth and the former Dr. Scholl's Shoe Factory in Falmouth. She was a member of the Falmouth United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, Woodmen of the World, and the Pendleton County Homemakers. Jean loved spending time with her family and memories of those special people remain in the center of their home with a pictorial family tree which she lovingly created. Decorating was one of her favorite hobbies. She would tackle large projects and produce amazing results. Her gentle nature and compassion for others will always be remembered by those who knew her. She was preceded in death by her son, John William Lach, on June 17, 2006; her sisters: Geneva Merrill, Edna Chain, Ethel Green; and her brothers: James Wagner, Lindsey Wagner, Melvin "Pete" Wagner, and Robert Wagner. In addition to her husband of 55 years, George Lach, she is survived by four daughters: Diana Faulhaber of Butler, Kentucky, Sandra Hedrick of Clinton, Tennessee, Susan Baird of Independence, Kentucky, and Leslie Insko of Falmouth, Kentucky; 9 grandchildren: Jim Faulhaber, Nick Faulhaber, Allen Faulhaber, Katie Faulhaber, Becca Faulhaber, Brian Hedrick, Scott Hedrick, Joshua Hedrick, and Ethan Baird; one great grandson: Isaac Faulhaber; two sisters: Lena Wells of Falmouth, Kentucky, and Mary Yelton of Erlanger, Kentucky. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 27, 2007, at the Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth, with Rev. Gary Baker officiating. The visitation will be from 5-9:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 26, at the funeral home. Interment will take place in the Riverside Cemetery, Falmouth.
