Linda Gail Mulloy

Linda Gail Wright Mulloy, 65, born March 28, 1951, died Tuesday July 12, at Hospice of Hope Kenton Pointe in Maysville, Kentucky. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and a member of Oakland Christian Church. She is survived by her husband, Steve Mulloy, sons Philip Mulloy and Mark Mulloy, and daughter Megan Mulloy-Huhn (Nick), four grandchildren: Mackenzie Mulloy, Jarrett Mulloy, Chase Green, Harper Huhn and a fourth grandson arriving in August 2016, and 4 brothers; Pete Wright, Jim Wright, Tony Wright, and Jerry Wright. Memorial visitation will be at Woodhead Funeral Home in Falmouth on Thursday, July 14, 2016 from 5-8:00 and inurnment at Mt. Vernon Cemetery at the convenience of the family. As a young Pendleton County farm girl, Linda grew to love everything about the outdoors, riding horses, and was passionate about gardening. Linda had an exceptionally green thumb and spent much of her life growing and tending her flowers, enjoying long walks in the woods, and especially loved finding and collecting arrowheads. From this grew a love for the old west, including western movies and novels, and a fondness of the Rocky Mountains. She was extremely well read and her many interests fueled her creative hobbies, including painting and crafting. In her spare time she enjoyed hunting for treasures at garage sales and flea markets, and was well known for her own barn and pumpkin sales in the fall. Linda grew up playing softball and loved many sports. She had a great love and appreciation for softball and baseball, and never missed a sporting or school event of her children or grandchildren in almost 40 years. She was also a devoted and passionate fan of UK basketball and the Cincinnati Reds. For 65 years, she led a full and active life, devoting her time and energy to her family and always thinking of others. She was a blessing to everyone who knew her and her friendly smile and warm personality touched everyone who crossed her path. She was preceded in death by her parents; Ralph and Pearlie Wright. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Pendleton County Public Library.
